Cinamatography:
There are lots of close ups and medium close ups of the artist which allows the audience to see him clearly. Mid shot is the shot that is used most throughout the video, mainly with the artist when he is singing into the microphone, to the camera, into the mirror etc. and also when recording the females that are featuring in the video.
At the beginning of the music video it starts off as a long shot and the camera slowly zooms in moving forward towards the artist, ending up as a mid shot of the artist. The next time a long shot is used is when the artist and his band are performing the song in what looks like an arena/warehouse.
Mise En Scene:
In the arena/warehouse there are instruments and lights on the artist and his band which shows that they are putting on a performance for the audience. At the beginning when Labrinth is sat on his own in a dark room that is full of stuff he is on his mobile which shows that he might be looking to see if the girl that has left him insane has text him.
One if his outfits is a black shirt with a cross necklace, the way I interpret this is that he is praying for someone to help him or has turned to god for help, everything he wears is very dark which could represent he is feeling down and in a dark place.
Editing:
All shots in the music video are cuts so that it flows and has a fast pace.
The effect that has been added in when editing is slow motion and it is used throughout the whole music video, not only that it has also been changed to balck and white.
Sound:
Throughout the whole music the sound is synchronus because you can see Labrinth singing throughout the whole of it. There are no sound effects used, only the original record that Labrinth produced.
